Job Title: Professional Development & Training Manager
Location: Silver Spring, MD (Hybrid: 2 days/week on-site; local travel to DC metro sites)

Driven by a mission of inclusion, compassion, and community support, our client provides high-impact residential, adult day, and early intervention programs.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a proactive, dependable Professional Development & Training Manager to oversee day-to-day staff education, mandatory compliance certifications, and employee growth initiatives. In this role, you will design and facilitate training programs for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and interdisciplinary staff, ensuring full regulatory compliance and fostering professional growth across all divisions.
salary: $33 - $35 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM
education: Bachelors
Responsibilities
- Program Delivery & Facilitation: Lead dynamic onboarding, new hire orientation, and mandatory compliance trainings (e.g., First Aid/CPR, HR policies, sexual harassment, diversity & inclusion).
- Compliance & Tracking: Manage, update, and maintain the internal training database to track staff completions, certifications, and upcoming compliance deadlines.
- Curriculum & Materials: Prepare, update, and organize high-quality training presentations, participant handbooks, and administrative documentation.
- Career Development: Collaborate with HR leadership to establish employee growth strategies, career pathing, and skill-building opportunities.
- Logistics & Event Coordination: Organize presentation equipment, room setups, schedule sessions, and market upcoming classes across corporate communication channels.
- Budgeting & Reporting: Track training expenditures and generate regular effectiveness and usage metrics for executive leadership.
