Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a  Quality Assurance Specialist to support all aspects of quality control, continuous improvement, and quality system management within a, hands-on manufacturing environment. Working with at-home skate sharpening equipment, They will oversee incoming/outgoing RMA processes, quality inspection for mechanical and electro-mechanical components, non-conformance investigations, equipment calibration, and supplier quality resolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate quality inspection activities for mechanical and electro-mechanical products and components.
• Manage inbound and outbound Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs), working directly with suppliers and customers to address quality issues.
• Investigate product and process non-conformances to identify operational defects and failure trends.
• Support root cause analysis processes and execute effective corrective actions to mitigate quality issues.
• Work closely with external suppliers to resolve incoming material and component quality non-conformances.
• Coordinate and maintain equipment calibration schedules, records, and compliance documentation.
• Review mechanical drawings, product specifications, and inspection requirements using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Maintain quality documentation, standard procedures, records, and related quality control information.
• Collect and organize quality data to generate reports, charts, and performance metrics using Excel.
• Assist with the ongoing development, maintenance, and upkeep of the company's Quality Management System (QMS).
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and fulfill day-to-day quality needs across the organization.
• Collaborate with Operations and other internal departments to resolve product and process quality issues.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3 to 5 years of experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering role with mechanical products in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong working knowledge of GD&T and demonstrated ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Direct experience managing RMAs, investigating non-conformances, and executing corrective actions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, specifically for data gathering, metrics tracking, and chart generation.
